I'm not a big football fan. Ironically it was the Ohio State Buckeyes who killed any interest in the sport, because as a young child there were often riots and burning cars and couches on campus after the team lost. As a kid I wasn't interested in being associated with a bunch of lunatics. Of course, what I didn't realize then is that you end up associating with lunatics at some point or another, completely outside of the realm of your control. (And sometimes you end up going to grad school at a school you never thought you'd go.)
Ahem. So, in honor for the big game today, I thought I'd show my support. I was raised a Buckeye, after all. Here are a couple of buckeye glamor shots I took this summer. We've got a tree in our yard - something my grandmother always felt was good luck.
I also want to wish my parents a happy anniversary. Thirty five years today. Unbelievable.
as always, gorgeous photographs. and congrats to your parents-- how wonderful. :) megxx

Pretty buckeye shots, Claire.
And I'm with you on the kookiness of supporting that team! It's like a mental disorder or something.
Happy Anniversary to your parents!

Congrats to the parents!
Lovely buckeyes. I'm no football fan, but I am a fan of the buckeye. I always thought they were lucky as well and would fill my pockets with them as a young girl.

Thanks ladies! I ended up being around campus when the game ended - I was happy there was no rioting. Though I saw a ton of people playing beer pong on their front porches. When/where I went to school, we were less overt with our drinking games.
Thanks for the wishes to my parents, as well. :)

Great pictures!
When I was little my dad told me that buckeyes are edible on one side and poisonous on the other... but only squirrels can tell which side is which. ;)
